On April 16, Huayou Cobalt released its report for Q1 2026. In the first quarter, the company achieved operating revenue of Yuan 25.804 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 44.62%. Its net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company reached Yuan 2.497 billion, a year-on-year increase of 99.45%. And basic earnings per share stood at Yuan 1.33.
The report indicates that the revenue growth was mainly attributable to an increase in product sales volume and a recovery in metal prices. The growth in net profit was primarily driven by the rebound in prices of nickel, cobalt, lithium and other metals, as well as the continued release of the company's advantages in integrated industrial operations.
