China's unwrought cobalt imports reached 960.54 tonnes in March 2026 (equivalent to 958.62 tonnes of cobalt metal based on 99.8% grade conversion), a decrease of 44.19% month-on-month and an increase of 82.92% year-on-year, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China. The import value for the month was approximately USD $48.359 million, with an average import price of USD $50,345.71/tonne. Meanwhile, China's cumulative imports of unwrought cobalt totaled 4,582.32 tonnes in Q1.
