China's lithium hydroxide exports rose 19.8% month on month and dropped 39.4% year-on-year to 3,142.95 tonnes in March, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China. Among the total, exports to South Korea stood at 2,058.81 tonnes, up 50.0% month-on-month but down 5.0% year-on-year. Exports to Japan totaled 278.02 tonnes, down 59.9% month-on-month and down 85.3% year-on-year.
In the first quarter of 2026, China's cumulative lithium hydroxide exports reached 7,600 tonnes, down 35.3% year-on-year. Exports to South Korea totaled 4,700 tonnes, down 34.6% year-on-year, while exports to Japan amounted to 1,300 tonnes, down 66.5% year-on-year.
