China benzene imports in line with expectations in Mar

China's benzene imports reached 458,700 tonnes in March, close to the earlier forecast of 450,000 tonnes. Due to ongoing production cuts in Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia, imports are expected to fall to a relatively low range of 250,000-380,000 tonnes per month in April and May.

According to the data of General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC), China's benzene imports in March 2026 totaled 458,743.696 tonnes, with cumulative imports of 1,272,987.812 tonnes and an average price of $863.56/t. Imports rose 10.46% month-on-month but fell 14.14% year-on-year; cumulative imports declined 16.38%
