Shanxi Taigang's 2026 crude steel output to remain stable on year

Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel Co (STSS), the Shenzhen-listed arm of Taiyuan Iron & Steel Group (TISCO), expects its total crude steel production for 2026 to reach 13.5 million tonnes, of which stainless steel production is targeted at 5.65 million tonnes, both largely stable compared with the previous year, according to the company's 2025 annual report released on April 28.

The report showed that the company produced 13.49 million tonnes of crude steel last year, down 3.5% from 2024, while its crude stainless steel output dropped by 9.5% on year to 5.61 million tonnes. For full-year 2025, steel sales of STSS fell by 3% on year to 12.79 million tonnes,
