NBS: China's manufacturing PMI remains in expansion in April

China's Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for the manufacturing sector remained in expansion territory in April, coming in at 50.3, down slightly by 0.1 point from the previous month, according to latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Thursday.

The reading indicated that China's manufacturing sector maintained steady operations, said Huo Lihui, chief statistician at the NBS service industry survey center.
