On May 12, EVE Energy released a statement announcing that it has officially signed an 8 GWh large-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) order with Indian energy company Godawari New Energy Private Limited, with a potential cooperation scale of up to 60 GWh over the next five years.
EVE Energy stated that this signing not only reflects the long-term strategic trust between the two parties but also marks a key breakthrough for EVE Energy's large-scale BESS in the South Asian market.
According to the introduction, India, as one of the fastest-growing new energy markets in the world, is welcoming large-scale opportunities for energy storage development. As the share of renewable energy rapidly increases, the demand for grid stability, frequency regulation, and peak load shifting has become increasingly prominent, making energy storage systems a critical infrastructure supporting the energy transition. At the same time, the Indian market has raised higher requirements for the long-term reliability, operational economy, and localized adaptability of energy storage products.
