On June 1, the Guangzhou Eastern Center Smart Integrated New Energy Storage Industry Demonstration Project, invested in and constructed by Guangzhou Zengcheng Urban Construction Investment Group's direct subsidiary Guangzhou Zengtou Energy, officially commenced construction.
The project, with a total investment of nearly Yuan 467 million, will build a new 150MW/300MWh electrochemical independent energy storage power station, adopting the mature, safe, and reliable lithium iron phosphate battery technology route. The energy storage system outputs at 35kV, which is then stepped up to 110kV and connected to the power grid via cables. This will effectively enhance the grid's peak shaving and frequency regulation capabilities and promote the integration of renewable energy.
