China VAC capacity up 8% YoY to 4.19 mln t/y in 2026

After the star-up of Guangxi Huayi Chemical' 300,000 t/y unit, China's VAC capacity rose by 8% year-on-year to 4.19 million t/y, and the proportion of South China capacity climbed to 14.32% of the total.
On June 8, 2026, Guangxi Huayi Chemical successfully commissioned its 300,000 tonnes/year ethylene-based vinyl acetate (VAC) unit, the only major VAC capacity addition in China this year.
