On the morning of June 13, the commissioning ceremony for the first phase of the 6.5 GWh sodium-ion battery project of Chilwee Group's Anqing Chaoren Energy was held in the Yingjiang Economic Development Zone, Anqing City.
The sodium-ion battery project of Anqing Chaoren Energy Technology Co., Ltd. represents a total investment of Yuan 3.5 billion, with a total planned capacity of 6.5 GWh and a total land area of approximately 324.5 mu (approx. 21.6 hectares). The first phase, with a planned capacity of 2 GWh, and is expected to generate an annual output value exceeding Yuan 500 million. As production capacity gradually ramps up, the project will ultimately achieve a large-scale manufacturing capability of over 2 million sodium-ion battery units per year, significantly accelerating the formation of a new energy industry cluster in Anqing City.
