CISA: Members' crude steel output slips 4.4% YoY over Jan-May

Crude steel output among the member mills of the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) totaled 340 million tonnes over the first five months of this year, posting an on-year decline of 4.4%, according to the association's latest release.
During May alone, the member mills produced 69.3 million tonnes of crude steel, declining by 3.7% on year, the CISA survey revealed.   In parallel, the total volume of crude steel produced by all steelmakers nationwide registered 84.4 million tonnes in May, dropping by 2.7% on year, according to the National
