China's lithium carbonate imports stood at 37,600 tonnes in May, up 15.0% month on month and up 77.6% year on year, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China.
Specially, the imports from Chile amounted to 24,500 tonnes, up 14.7% month-on-month and up 83.1% year-on-year. Meanwhile, the imports from Argentina reached 11,400 tonnes, up 19.5% month-on-month and 72.4% year-on-year.
China's imports of lithium carbonate from January to May totaled 153,500 tonnes, an increase of 53.4% YoY.
