China's lithium hydroxide exports dropped 35.9% month on month and dropped 36.4% year-on-year to 3,549.28 tonnes in May, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China.
Among the total, exports to South Korea stood at 2,799.44 tonnes, down 28.5% month-on-month and 17.4% year-on-year. Exports to Japan totaled 608.00 tonnes, down 29.6% month-on-month but down 65.1% year-on-year.
From January to May, China's cumulative lithium hydroxide exports reached 16,700 tonnes, down 22.6%% year-on-year. Exports to South Korea totaled 11,400 tonnes, down 9.7% year-on-year, while exports to Japan amounted to 2,800 tonnes, down 62.4% year-on-year.
