In May 2026, China's synthetic graphite imports rose 29.52% month-on-month to 979.89 tonnes, while exports increased 9.03% to 50,037.79 tonnes, driven by robust demand for anode materials.

The General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC) data show China's synthetic graphite imports reached 979.89 tonnes in May 2026, up 29.52% from April, while exports stood at 50,037.79 tonnes, a 9.03% month-on-month increase.
