On June 23, it was reported that the Beijing Times Battery Base project of CATL has passed completion acceptance. The project involves a total investment of approximately Yuan 3.9 billion, covers an area of about 260,000 square metres, and features CATL's self-developed state-of-the-art super production line for new-energy battery manufacturing.
According to the report, the project serves as a key pillar in building a global zero-carbon industrial cluster hub. It is designed to create an industrial and IT integration ecosystem that centres on an intelligent manufacturing platform, with deep interconnection among multiple platforms and systems. Once the project reaches full capacity, it will generate an annual power-battery output of 15 GWh, significantly enhancing the product competitiveness and cost advantages for Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei vehicle manufacturers such as BAIC and Xiaomi.
