Champion Iron produces first DR-quality ore from Bloom Lake

Australia-based iron ore producer Champion Iron has successfully produced direct reduction (DR)-grade iron ore from its newly commissioned direct reduction pellet feed (DRPF) project at the Bloom Lake mine in Quebec, Canada, the company announced on June 29.

The achievement marks a key milestone in the project's commissioning phase, which was completed within the previously estimated $500 million budget, it said.
