Lithium Capacity

The largest lithium ore processing plant in West Africa has officially begun operations in Nigeria's Nasarawa State, local media reported on July 7. Operated by Chinese-invested Diamond Energy Group, the facility can process 6,000 tonnes of raw ore per day, which translates to an annual capacity of 3 million tonnes, roughly 30,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent, according to local sources. The plant is jointly owned by Jiangxi Jiuling Lithium and Suzhou Tianhua New Energy, each with a 50% stake.
