NBS: China's H1 pig iron output falls 2.8% YoY

China's pig iron production during January-June totalled 426.6 million tonnes, lower by 2.9% compared with the same period last year, according to the latest data released by the country's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

The decrease in pig iron output was slightly slower than the 3% on-year fall in China's crude steel output during the same period, Mysteel Global noted. In June alone, China's pig iron output dipped 0.9% on year to 71.99 million tonnes, NBS data showed. On a daily basis however, output last
