Brazil's iron ore exports hit record high in June

Brazil, the world's second-largest iron ore exporter after Australia, shipped 42.2 million tonnes of iron ore in June, according to preliminary statistics from Comex Stat, a data platform tracking Brazil's foreign trade in goods. This represented a sharp 51% surge from the previous month and set a new all-time monthly record, according to historical data.

Compared with the same month last year, Brazil's June iron ore exports also rose 17.4%, the Comex Stat data show.
