GACC: China's semis exports hit record high in June

China's exports of semi-finished steel items such as blooms and billets continued to enjoy the strong momentum experienced in May to hit another record high in June, according to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs (GACC) on July 20. June exports topped 2.84 million tonnes last month, surging by 56.7% on month and by a larger 141.5% from June 2025.

Last month's outstanding performance boosted the cumulative export volume of semis over January-June to reach 9.59 million tonnes, soaring by 62.8% from H1 last year, the GACC data revealed.
