To better serve upstream and downstream enterprises in the lithium-ion battery industry chain and provide a more comprehensive and in-depth lithium carbonate market inventory monitoring tool, Shanghai Ganglian E-Commerce Co., Ltd. (Mysteel) has officially launched a new data product, the Mysteel Lithium Carbonate Sample Weekly Inventory Data. It is expected to be officially available on Mysteel Data Portal starting in August and will be released every Wednesday afternoon thereafter.
The product covers a total of 207 samples across three core segments: converters (74 samples), traders (62 samples, including warehouse receipts and stocks held on behalf of others), and cathode manufacturers and end-users (72 samples). This provides a panoramic view of lithium carbonate inventory trends.
The initial data shows that total lithium carbonate inventory across the 207 samples in the week ending July 29 stood at 162,450 tonnes, down 6,950 tonnes from the previous week. Due to Zimbabwe's previous concentrate export ban delaying raw material arrivals, a few domestic refineries announced production halts and maintenance in July, leading to a reduction of approximately 4,000 tonnes in spodumene-based lithium carbonate output. At the same time, with the approaching warehouse receipt cancellation deadline, exchange warehouse receipts fell by 2,941 lots from the previous week to 38,418 lots as of July 27.
We look forward to this new product becoming an important reference tool for your lithium carbonate market analysis. Stay tuned for the official launch in August!
