Stanmore's Q2 ROM coal output rebounds 27% QoQ to 5.1 mln t

Australia-based metallurgical coal producer Stanmore Resources recorded a recovery in production in the second quarter of 2026, with run-of-mine (ROM) coal output rising 27% on quarter as operations recovered from wet weather disruptions in Q1, according to the company's latest quarterly activities report.

Stanmore Resources -- one of Australia's largest suppliers of met coal to global markets -- produced 5.1 million tonnes of ROM coal in Q2, while saleable coal production came in at 3.3 million tonnes and total coal sales stood at 3.4 million tonnes. Saleable coal production and total sales rose
