On July 30, Sino-Platinum Metals Co., Ltd. announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Sino-Platinum Metals Resources (Yimen) Co., Ltd., plans to invest Yuan 104 million to build a pilot base project for recycling retired photovoltaic (PV) modules. The project is located in Yimen County, Yuxi City, Yunnan Province, with a construction period of approximately 12 months. Upon completion, it will have an annual processing capacity of 15,000 tonnes of retired PV modules and 5,000 tonnes of externally purchased solar cells.
The project aims to establish a key pilot base in the field of retired PV module recycling, build a standardized and efficient PV module recycling and utilization system, promote the agglomeration and standardized development of the regional PV recycling industry, and enhance industrial chain synergy and resource security capabilities. It will also lay a solid foundation for the subsequent large-scale implementation and promotion of similar projects, supporting the Group in achieving its high-quality development goals for the "15th Five-Year Plan" period.
