The triple headwinds of raw material shortages, high production costs, and weak demand are unlikely to reverse in the near term, though a few producers achieved slight output increases due to group-level operational mandates.
For August 2026, China's electrolytic cobalt production is expected to remain around 465 tonnes, flat MoM but down 75.08% YoY.
