China's Aug PP production to rise 4.84% on unit restarts

PP production in China will enjoy a 4.84% growth in August, as the unit restarts will bring a significant drop in maintenance loss. This together with tepid downstream demand will both drag down the overall PP market.

Data from OilChem indicates that the August polypropylene (PP) production is estimated at 3.28 million tonnes, a rise of 4.84% month-on-month, and the capacity utilization rate will climb by 2.89% month-on-month to 70.90%.
