Peru's June iron ore output hits record high

Peru produced 1.26 million tonnes of iron ore in June, setting a new monthly record, according to the latest statistics from the country's Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM).

Responsible for almost all of the output was Shougang Hierro Peru S.A.A., the dominant iron ore producer in Peru and wholly-owned by China's Shougang Group.
