Tokyo Steel holds product prices for Sept, eyes autumn lift

Japan's largest mini-mill, Tokyo Steel Manufacturing, has opted to keep its product list prices for domestic sales in September unchanged, hoping that the usual uptick in domestic steel demand during the autumn months of October-December will allow it to lift prices then.

"Regarding construction demand, large-scale projects are expected to start moving toward early autumn, and the market is showing signs of activity and steadily rising market conditions," the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
