China's BOPET imports fall 12.87% in July

China's BOPET imports fell 12.87% MoM to 19.4kt in July, while exports dropped 9.27% to 75.7kt (GACC). Net exports rose 7.13pp MoM but fell 7.96% YoY. Both fell on seasonal demand weakness and inventory overhang, but OilChem projects August exports to rebound to ~81kt on prestocking and steady SE Asia demand, with imports at ~19.2kt.

According to the data of General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC), China's BOPET imports fell to 19.4kt in July, down 12.87% month-on-month, while exports dropped 9.27% month-on-month to 75.7kt. Over January-July, cumulative imports reached 135.7kt, down 7.94% year-on-year, while cumulative exports rose 18.93% year-on-year to
