China's Jul styrene exports plunge 60.42% MoM, but 667% higher on year

China's styrene exports recorded a sharp month-on-month decline in July, as overseas supply gradually recovered. Nevertheless, export volumes remained substantially higher than the same period last year, due to lingering geopolitical-driven external demand.

Styrene exports in China reached 79,600 tonnes in July, a plunge of 60.42% month-on-month, but soaring by 667.09% year-on-year, and the average export price for the month was $1,157.39/t, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of PRC (GACC). GACC's data also indicates that cumulative exports of styrene
