China's July MEG imports surge 115.94% MoM

China's MEG imports surged 115.94% month-on-month to 265,446.76 tonnes in July (GACC) due to the temporary opening of the Strait of Hormuz, but imports are expected to drop to around 150,000 tonnes in August as the waterway closed again. Exports fell 60.20% month-on-month to 38,826.67 tonnes. Net imports jumped 793.39% year-on-year and 871.08% from June.

According to the data of General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC), China's MEG imports surged by 115.94% month-on-month to 265,446.76 tonnes in July, as the Strait of Hormuz was temporarily open during the month, but imports are expected to drop sharply to around 150,000
