Coal exports through Canada's Trigon Pacific Terminal tumble 31% MoM in July

Shipments of coking and thermal coal from Canada's Trigon Pacific Terminal to worldwide destinations in July reached 458,460 tonnes, lower by a large 31% on month and 16% on year, according to the latest data from the Prince Rupert Port Authority.

The on-month fall reflects the low base of comparison with June where on-month shipments jumped by over one-third from May, Mysteel Global notes. Trigon is the only coal export terminal in the Port of Prince Rupert in British Columbia. In July, coking coal exported from the terminal reached 295,573 tonnes,
