Recently, the main construction work of the 120,000-tonne lithium-ion battery recycling project of Jiangxi Woquan Energy Technology Co., Ltd., located in the Yanhua Chemical Industrial City, has largely entered its final stage. It is expected that in August 2027, trial operation with feed materials and pilot production will commence.
According to the project introduction, the total investment amounts to Yuan 2.055 billion, covering two major business segments, including comprehensive utilization of spent ternary lithium and lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, and manufacturing of silicon-carbon anode materials. The planned annual capacity includes comprehensive recycling of 120,000 tonnes of spent lithium batteries, production of 10,000 tonnes of silicon-carbon anode materials, and 5,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate, thereby achieving a closed-loop layout of recycling-processing-remanufacturing.
