Taiwan's Feng Hsin hikes rebar, scrap prices by $6/t

Taiwan's largest rebar producer, Feng Hsin Steel, headquartered in Taichung in central Taiwan, has decided to raise its rebar list price and buying price of local scrap by TWD 200/tonne ($6.3/t) each on week for transactions over August 31-September 4, according to a company official.

With the latest adjustment, the Taiwanese mini-mill is offering its 13mm-diameter rebar at TWD 17,800/t EXW for business discussions through this Friday, and its buying price for local HMS 1&2 80:20 scrap also climbs to TWD 9,400/t, the official confirmed.
