On September 4, Guotai Environmental Protection announced that the company plans to invest in the construction of a new energy material recycling and battery material production project (Phase I) through its holding subsidiary, Zhejiang Jingzhen New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., as the implementing entity. The project will be located in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou, with an estimated total investment of approximately Yuan 808 million. Upon completion, the project is designed to achieve an annual recycling capacity of 100,000 tonnes of high-purity graphite and an annual surface modification capacity of 50,000 tonnes of high-purity graphite for lithium-ion battery applications.
