China's propylene supply to keep rising as restart wave unfolds

China's propylene supply is expected to extend an uptrend in the short run (September 7-13), especially in Shandong where a wave of units restarted or will resume production. Despite the rising supply, domestic propylene prices still climbed slightly, thanks to improvement of downstream demand.

By regions, Shandong's propylene supply increment will be significant, in line with the recovery of units at Luxi Chemical and Lijin Refining and Chemical, etc. The weekly output of propylene is expected to reach 246,900 tonnes during September 7-13, up 5.56% from the previous cycle (August 31-September 6).
