According to public information, Xuzhou Xinrui Lithium Battery Materials Co., Ltd. was established in June 2026 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of GCL Lithium Energy (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., which itself is a wholly-owned subsidiary established by GCL Group to strategically expand into the LFP cathode material business.
Currently, GCL Group's 120,000-tonne LFP project in Renshou, Sichuan, commenced production in July 2023, and the first-phase 200,000-tonne LFP cathode material project in Leshan, Sichuan, started production in June 2026. The company has simultaneously initiated construction of the second-phase 200,000-tonne project in Leshan, which is expected to come on stream by the end of the first quarter of 2027.
