GEM stated during a recent institutional research briefing that the company has built the world's largest industrial base for the recycling and utilization of critical metal resources including nickel, cobalt, tungsten, and germanium. Its annual recycled cobalt resources exceed five times China's primary cobalt mining output, while its recycled nickel resources account for 20% of the country's primary nickel mining output.
In 2025, the company's cobalt recycling volume reached 15,000 tonnes, and its nickel recycling volume reached 25,000 tonnes. In H1 2026, its power lithium battery recycling and dismantling volume reached 30,995 tonnes, up 39% YoY. The nickel, cobalt, and other core metals recovered and extracted are supplied to the company's core manufacturing operations for new energy materials, continuously strengthening its closed-loop recycling industrial chain of recycling and dismantling-regeneration and purification-material manufacturing.
