As one of the world's largest single lithium mica mines by scale, the resumption of production at the Jianxiawo lithium mine in Yichun, Jiangxi Province, owned by CATL, has long been regarded as a key variable on the supply side of lithium carbonate.
After the proposed acceptance announcement was revoked due to questions over the compliance of the construction unit's earlier public disclosure website, the mining project at the Jianxiawo lithium mine recently restarted its environmental impact assessment (EIA) approval process.
According to the website of the Ecological Environment Bureau of Fengxin County, Yichun City, Jiangxi Province, Yichun Times New Energy Mining Co., Ltd. issued an announcement on September 18, conducting pre-approval public disclosure of the Environmental Impact Report (proposed version for approval) and the EIA public participation statement for the mining project at the Zhenkouli (Yifeng County)–Jianxiawo (Fengxin County) lithium mine in Jiangxi Province, welcoming opinions on environmental protection from all sectors of society.
