On October 8, the energy conservation report for the Phase II continued construction project of XPeng Motors' Guangzhou Intelligent Connected Vehicle Smart Manufacturing Base was approved and publicly announced.
The project is located in Jiulong Town, Huangpu District, Guangzhou, with a total investment of approximately Yuan 1.3 billion and is expected to commence production in August 2027. The main construction work involves utilizing existing buildings, procuring stamping, welding, painting, and assembly equipment, and expanding production lines for electric vehicle (EV) body parts. It is expected that, after completion and upon reaching design capacity, the project will produce 300,000 sets per year of EV body parts such as body frames and chassis. No production of batteries, plastic parts, or similar items is involved.
