Recently, the plant building of the 20GWh-per-year power battery project of Anhui Deyi Energy, a Chery-affiliated company, was successfully topped out. The project is located in Dangshan County, Suzhou City, Anhui Province, with a fixed-asset investment of Yuan 4 billion. It comprises a cell workshop, a film-coating/PACK workshop, and ancillary facilities. Focusing on the R&D and manufacturing of high-performance, high-safety, and long-life power and energy storage batteries, the project is a key new energy industry project in northern Anhui.
The cell workshop alone has a floor area of 124,000 kilometers and is an extra-large steel-structure plant measuring 780 m × 140 m. It is planned to feature highly automated, industry-leading production lines, with a key focus on 187Ah and 166Ah blade battery products and 684Ah energy storage batteries, fully meeting the production and R&D needs of the project owner.
