China PNG imports & exports both rise in Sep, Oct imports to fall

China's PNG imports reached 5.25 million tonnes in September 2026, up 1.62% MoM, while exports rose 5.38% MoM to 332,800 tonnes. October imports are forecast at 4.60 million tonnes, down 12.39% MoM, with exports at 360,000 tonnes, up 8.17% MoM.

September's peak production season, upcoming holidays, and post-maintenance pipeline recovery supported a rebound in pipeline natural gas (PNG) imports in China, while exports rose on stronger gas demand in Hong Kong and Macao.
