On October 23, Wanhua Chemical commenced construction of the Phase II project of its Laizhou Green Power Industrial Park, marking the base's entry into a new stage featuring a sprint toward Phase I production and the joint construction of Phase II.
The project covers an area of 557 mu (approximately 37.1 hectares) and is planned to include a 650,000-tonne battery-grade lithium iron phosphate (LFP) facility, leveraging an integrated wind-solar-storage energy system to achieve coupling between green electricity and industrial operations.
Wanhua Chemical's LFP business adopts an integrated route. Its fourth-generation products have been mass-produced, and its fifth-generation products have been recognized by leading customers. The Phase II project aims to drive all-round iteration in technology, quality, and management, supporting green industrial upgrading in Shandong Province and the global energy transition.
