According to Mysteel's survey, China's lithium carbonate production recorded 117,700 tonnes in October 2026, up 2.7% month on month (MoM). Compared with early-month production schedules, October's actual production was revised up, mainly due to higher-than-expected production at some spodumene lines. Although the lepidolite supply reported some contraction, the lithium carbonate production saw no further output cuts.
China's domestic production schedules for lithium carbonate come in at 121,800 tonnes in November, up 3.5% MoM. In November, some producers in Qinghai Province have cut the schedules substantially due to equipment maintenance or weather; some spodumene lines will likely raise capacity utilization rates on ample toll-processing orders; and the recycling segment is projected to see a slight MoM output increase due to a larger sample. Currently, no further production cuts have been observed from falling prices yet.
