Tianli Lithium Energy's wholly-owned subsidiary Xinxiang Xintianli Lithium Battery Materials Co., Ltd. has completed its industrial and commercial change registration. Its business scope has been expanded to include recycling of renewable resources (excluding productive scrap metal), sales of renewable resources, sales of metal materials, and sales of non-ferrous metal alloys. Its operating period has been changed from April 22, 2014–April 21, 2028 to long-term.
The company has formally entered the lithium-ion battery recycling (nickel-cobalt-manganese regeneration) track. Together with its hydrometallurgical pilot line (with a nickel-cobalt-manganese recovery rate of >98.5% and direct lithium carbonate extraction purity of 99.8%) and its whitelist qualification under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Industry Standard Conditions for Comprehensive Utilization of Waste Power Batteries, this forms a commercial closed loop and advances the company's layout for large-scale recycling of retired batteries.
