Nippon Steel raises Sept domestic H-beam prices by $46/t

Nippon Steel, Japan’s largest integrated mill, announced on September 14 to add Yen 5,000/tonne ($46/t) onto its H-beam list price for spot domestic sales with immediate effect, which is meant to transfer some of the rising costs as well as to narrow the gap with the global prices.

Nippon Steel Structural Shapes, the company’s section subsidiary based in Wakayama in western Japan, is also raising its H-beam price by Yen 5,000/t for its September sales, quoting the remaining high prices for higher-grade scrap and rising costs in power and auxiliary materials.
