Kaz Minerals' total copper production in the second quarter of 2022 was 90,000 tonnes, up 0.1% year-on-year and 15.5% sequentially.
- Aktogay copper mine in Kazakhstan (100%)
Total Aktogay copper production in Q2 2022 was 53,500 tonnes. Among them, the output of copper concentrate was 47,200 tonnes, and the output of copper cathode was 6,300 tonnes. Total copper production increased by 5.5% year-on-year and 48.6% month-on-month.
- Bozshakol Copper Mine in Kazakhstan (100%)
Bozshakol copper production in Q2 2022 was 24,900 tonnes, down 6.7% year-on-year and 9.8% sequentially. This is primarily due to lower ore grades, which offsets the increase in recovery rates during the quarter.
- Kazakhstan East Region & Kyrgyzstan Bozymchak Copper Mine (100%)
East Region & Bozymchak total copper production for Q2 2022 was 11,600 tonnes, down 7.2% year-on-year and 18.9% sequentially. This is mainly due to the reduced throughput of concentrators in the eastern region. Among them, the East Region copper production is 10,100 tonnes, and Bozymchak copper production is 1,500 tonnes.
