Vale's Zhongzhai pre-blending project starts construction in China

Brazilian mining giant Vale has announced the start of construction for the Zhongzhai Pre-blending Project, a partnership between Vale, Jiangsu Shagang Group Co., Ltd. (Shagang) and Ningbo Zhoushan Port Company Limited (Zhoushan Port).

The project – to be constructed by Ningbo Zhoushan Port – is expected to start operations by the second half of 2023 and will develop silo-blending facilities of up to 8 different ores with 15 million tonnes/year capacity in the Zhongzhai ore terminal, in East China's Zhejiang province. The blended
