WEEKLY: China's iron ore port stocks steady at 128 mln t

Total imported iron ore stocks at China's major 45 ports under Mysteel's weekly survey remained largely stable on week at 127.5 million tonnes by June 1, down by just 412,900 tonnes or 0.3% on week after a two-week rise, as unloading volume at ports decreased over the period.

As of June 1, a total of 86 iron ore vessels were queuing at the 45 ports for offloading, or six more than that on May 25, according to Mysteel's tracking. Meanwhile, the daily iron ore discharge rate from these surveyed ports averaged 2.9 million tonnes/day over May 26-June 1, or having nudged down by 7,150 t/d
