Coke prices in North China's Hebei province are seen softening by Yuan 50/tonne ($7.9/t) this week as steelmakers across Hebei province put pressure on coking plants to accept another round of price cuts, according to market sources. A steel mill official in Hebei's steelmaking hub of Tangshan confirmed on Tuesday that some local producers in the city had already started pressing their coke suppliers for lower prices, wanting the cuts to take effect during the current March 19-25 week.
