Note: 1. Long products refer to high-speed wire rod, rebar, high-quality carbon-structure round steel, angle, and H-beam; flat products refer to plate, HR coil/sheet, hot-rolled strip, CR coil/sheet, and galvanized steel sheet.
2. Global composite steel price index stood at 206.3 at the end of June 2018, up 1.7 points on month; long steel index was at 245.8, increasing 2.9 points month on month; flat steel index ended at 194.5, moving up 0.4 point.
3. China Iron & Steel Association (CISA) launched the index in April 2001, which is compiled on prices for eight steel products in 23 cities. April 1994 is the starting point with a base index of 100.
